Neutral Matte Eye

Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I finally ordered the Too Faced Natural Matte Palette. I love matte shadows and can't seem to get enough of them in my life. I have been going for a lighter eye look lately. Mostly because my eyes have been watering a ton from allergies so I end up wiping away my liner anyway.

This is the look I came up with...

This palette is inside a cute metal tin. Which makes it really travel friendly. I love the colors in this palette!

The lay out of these shadows is great. Especially if you are new to matte shadows. It lays out which 3 you can use together or you can totally mix them up. Today I used the "Day" look.

I have used Too Faced shadows before and they blend like a dream. I wasn't sure about these because this was the first time I used these. So I swept this ivory shadow across the entire lid to help me blend.

I took Cashmere Bunny on an angled shadow brush and applied it to my crease and blended up towards the brow bone.

To add a bit of depth to the outer corner I applied Sexspresso with round brush.

BLEND!

Highlighted the brow bone with this matte white shadow. I love a matte white as a brow bone highlight. It adds so much brightness and really defines your brow.

I smudged Sexspresso under the lower lash line.

I usually would put the matte white in the inner corner too but I wanted a touch of shimmer there so I added a bit of Mary Lou Manizer.

Curled my lashes and applied mascara and I was done!

I hope you enjoyed this look. I know I have been doing a lot of light eye looks lately but Fall is just around the corner so prepare yourself for darker shadows, liners, and dark lips! Yay! Can't wait for those.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
