Monthly Favorites: August

Hello everyone!

Thank you for joining me today. I decided to add monthly favorites in the mix because who doesn't love to hear about someones favorite products? I know I do! I'm going to try to get through these as quickly as possible!

I'll start with the non beauty related stuff first...

Favorite Coffee: Starbucks Fall Blend
If you haven't tried it you must! It's SO GOOD!!!! I have already blasted through 2 boxes of K-Cups. It's absolute perfection!

(Not pictured because I don't have any!)

Favorite Food: Chicken Cesar Salad
I don't know what it is about these things but I cannot bring myself to stop!

(Not pictured because you all know what it looks like)

Favorite Perfume/Body Spray: Oahu Coconut Sunset
I started wearing this body spray (from Bath and Body Works) at the beginning of summer and I haven't stopped wearing it regularly since. I even carry a travel size in my purse. It's the right amount of sweet coconut and musk. I doubt they will have this in the stores now but if they bring it back next year, give it a sniff! Or just smell me next time you see me. Haha!

Brows: Milani Brow Kit
Is this even a surprise? You guys know I use this thing everyday. I love it so much that I haven't even thought about getting another brow product since. If you fill in your brows, What do you use??? Tell me!

Shampoo/Conditioner: Herbal Essences Tea-lightfully Clean
I use a lot of product in my hair so I needed something that will get all of the product out without stripping my hair. I decided to pick this up because I remembered using a different tea tree oil shampoo in the past that I really liked. This stuff is amazing! It has that classic tea tree tingle but it makes my hair so soft!! I use this at least once a week.

Highlighter: Wet n Wild Fergie
I did a post all about this little gem. I've used the heck out of this thing. This product has made me wear a highligher every day! Yes, even at work! Love!

Mascara: Maybelliene Lash Sensational & Lash Discovery
This team of mascaras has been keeping my lashes looking lovely lately. I use Lash Sensational on the top lashes and Lash Discovery on the bottom. Perfect!

Blush: Essence in Babydoll
I love this blush! Honestly, I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did when I bought it. It's the perfect blush color for my skin tone, a little bit of pink and a little bit of peach. It has a slight and I mean SLIGHT sheen to it. Great for every day.

Primer: Elf Poreless
I was really impressed by this one! You know I love Maybelliene Baby Skin but this one is giving it a run for it's money. I think it was $3 or $6 and it was worth every penny! This makes my skin so smooth and my pores aren't visible under makeup. It does have a tea tree scent so if you're sensitive to that, I'd stay away from this one.

Those are all of my favorites this month! I hope you enjoyed this post. Please let me know what you think and if you'd like these every month.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
