Fall Favorites: I'm so basic

Hello everyone!

Thank you for joining me today. I can't help but come across adorable Fall decorations and outfits. I am so excited to kiss this hot weather goodbye and move on to the cooler months. Today I want to share a few things I am looking forward to this Fall. I love the colors, the cool weather, pretty much everything! I realize that this post might be "Basic white girl" but you know what? A girl likes what she likes! In fact, I "dressed up" as a #Basic girl last year for Halloween. haha! I will insert a picture at the end of this post. Prepare yourself to laugh!

Grab your pumpkin spice latte and let's go!

Um, is there anything better than a scarf?!? I love scarves! I think they are the perfect accessory and they keep my neck warm (I have short hair remember?) I usually add one or two to my collection each year. Which means I have a ton to choose from. If you don't know how to wear a scarf I'd suggest an infinity scarf. It does all of the work for you, all you have to do is loop it around your next a time or two and you're done!

I know I might get some trash talk for these. But I have to mention them... UGG's! I have these exact ones! They are so comfortable and have lasted me years. Yes, they are pricy and some even say they're ugly but I like them. If you want them to look less like slippers then go for something that has a hard sole or even with hardware like these.

We can't forget the PSL!!! You coffee lovers know what "PSL" means... Pumpkin. Spice. Latte. Another thing I look forward to each Fall. They are delicious! In fact, I probably visit Starbucks more during the Fall than I do any other time of the year. Oh, and we can't forget about the perfect Fall blend start bucks has right now, get your mitts on it now!

Now on to my favorite makeup trend of Fall. Dark lipstick! Now I realize that you can wear dark lips any time of the year but I like to save my deep berries and plums for Fall. If you have a hard time with applying dark lipstick get yourself a nude liner that is close to your natural lip color and line your lips with it before applying the lipstick. Or you can try the new clear lip liners they have out now. Another tip is to make sure you exfoliate your lips before you apply the lipstick so your lips look nice and smooth.

I could go on and on about what I love about Fall but I am going to stop here and spare you all.
I'd love to know what some of your favorite things about Fall are. Please share them down below.

Oh, and I can't forget! "The #Basic" picture" ENJOY!!!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
