Empties: Beauty Edition

Hello everyone!

Thank you for joining me today. I can't believe it has been so long since I have done one of these! I believe the last one was in July. Holy smokes! So needless to say I have a TON of products to talk about.

Hair Care
I don't got through shampoo and conditioner that quickly because my hair is short hair, which is growing out so I'm sure I will start using them up faster as it grows.
I really liked this Shampoo. It smells really good and the scent lasts in my hair for a while. It really does make my hair smooth and very soft. I am still trying to finish up the conditioner. I have already repurchased bigger bottles of both.

I think I have yet to include my tried and true hairspray. I was thrilled to see they FINALLY brought out a bigger bottle of this stuff. I go through it like crazy. If you haven't tried it, you need to! I think I have 2 or 3 of these on hand.

Face Products
Can anyone guess what my favorite makeup towelettes are??? Anyone? Anyone? haha! WOW! I surprised myself with this one. I blasted through 4 of these babies! I will blame it on all of the Halloween Tutorials I've been doing. These wipes are great, they stay moist till the very last one. I usually buy 2 of these when they are BOGO 50% Off. Obviously, I've already repurchased these.

I love this face wash! It doesn't make my skin oily and it doesn't make it feel dry after I use it. It keeps my skin balanced and I haven't wanted to use anything else since I started using this. I already have another one of these that I have been using since I ran out of this one.

The Garnier Ultra Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream was a sample I got from either a magazine or a mailer. I can't remember. I have been wanting to try this for some time now. There was enough in this packet to use it for 2 nights. It made my skin soft but I didn't notice a huge difference. I am using a different sleeping mask now that I really like but I may pick up a jar of this when that runs out.

CeraVe makes wonderful products! These are the only day and night lotions I use (unless I am using my sleeping mask) I have noticed a big difference in my skin since I started using these. I already have new bottles of both and will continue to repurchase till the cows come home. haha!

Random Stuff
I bought these cotton rounds to use with eye makeup remover but they left so many little fuzzy things on my lashes that my eyes would get so irritated. So I had to stop using them. Now I use them for nail polish remover. I think these come 3 sleeves to a pack at Walmart. I still have some left so I haven't repurchased and honestly, I probably wont buy more because I don't notice a difference between these and cotton balls.

I love these face masks! I buy pretty much every single one that TJ Maxx has. I haven't been in that store for some time now so I am all out of masks right now. But you better believe that I will be stocking up soon!

Dove Sensitive Skin Soap. One thing that is weird about me is that I have sensitive skin on my body but not on my face. I know, weird. I started using this soap years ago and have not used another kind of bar soap since. It doesn't have a scent to it, which is nice. I also use this to clean my brushes sometimes and it gets my Real Techniques sponges squeaky clean!

This tooth paste is new to me. I had been wanting to whiten my teeth but I didn't know which white strips to choose so I figured until I could do my research, I would try this. This stuff works!! Seriously, my teeth are way whiter than they were before I started using this a few weeks ago. I drink coffee everyday so it takes a toll on my teeth. Even Mr. Adela Told Me noticed a difference on his teeth. Great stuff! Will definitely repurchase.

Body Care
I refuse to use any other shave cream. I will break out BAD from shaving my legs If I use anything other than EOS. My only complaint about this is the packaging, once the pump has pumped all it can, there is still a ton of product left. So we always have to cut it open to get the rest out.

I never used to stick with one kind of deodorant until I tried this Secret PH Balanced. Something about this lasts all day. The scent isn't over powering. It definitely is white when you apply it so I do not recommend using this is you are wearing something sleeveless.

I love the Pocket Bac from Bath and Body Works. I have one of those little holder things on my purse and I use this stuff all of the time. Have you guys seen the new design of these?? So cute! As soon as I use up all of the ones I have, I'm getting the new ones and the super cute holders!

Oh, for the love of body wash! Clearly I was having a good ole time sudsing up with these! Oahu Coconut Sunset was a scent I had never tried before. I loved it for the summer. It's a yummy, coconut, vanilla, musky type scent. A Thousand Wishes is probably my favorite scent from Bath and Body Works. I can't really explain the smell but it is GOOD! I have this in lotion and body spray too. If you are into aromatherapy then you've got to try Stress Relief. I have several of their aromatherapy body washes and they are all great. This Eucalyptus Tea was my favorite though. Definitely need more of it in my life.

Mascara

It was no surprise at all that I went through 2 tubes of Lash Sensational. You know how much I love that stuff. I already have 2 more as back ups.

The other 2 were complete POO! I used to love the CoverGirl Super Thick Lash, this is the first tube I've had since they repackaged it and they must have changed the formula because it was horrible! I couldn't finish this, even with a lash comb it was POO!

Full Lash Bloom was another poo. It was a clumpy mess. YUCK!

Concealers, Eye Liners, Brow gel & beyond
CoverGirl strikes out again with this poo-ey shadow stick. I felt like I was ripping the skin off my lid when I tried to use this. It was so dry and no color pay off.

Essence Super Fine Liquid Liner Pen was one that I LOVED!!! It didn't last very long, but for $2 or $3 it was worth it! I had this for maybe a month or 2. I need another one!

You know I love Rimmel's nude liner for my waterline. Sadly this poor little guy quit on me. I sharpened it and the whole nude part came out and I couldn't get it to stay put enough for me to use it. So he had to go! Since, I repurchased the automatic pencil in nude and I really like it.

Maybelliene Fit Me in shade 15. Duh, I love it. I use it everyday. Enough said.

Maybelliene Lumi Concealer in Radiant. I really enjoyed this. I haven't picked up a new one. But I might some day.

Maybelliene Brow gel. No this isn't sponsored by them but if they want to scoot some products my way, that would be awesome! haha! this gel was good but it wasn't strong enough to hold them in place all day. I found a new gel that I like better so for now I am sticking with the new one.

Bottom of the barrel
Maybelliene Gel Liner in black is great stuff. Mine dried out so it was time for it to go. I started using the Essence one since and I like it and it's way cheaper so I will probably stick to that one for now.

EOS Lip Balm, I love these little round goodness. I have these all over the place and use them all the time. Needless to say, I will repurchase.

Phew! I am looking forward to throwing these goodies away. I hope you enjoyed this peek into my trash bin. haha!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
