Get Ready With Me: Bronze Eyes and Dark Nude Lips

Hello everyone!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I am going to share a look using my favorite Fall colors! and not to mention a dark nude lip, that has been my go to shade lately. Just look at my lipstick holder on my vanity. haha! If you'd like to see how I created this look, keep on scrolling!

I already applied my foundation and concealer before I started this. I decided to use this new pomade-ish product from Milani. It is a very dry product but I like the result you get from it. Oh, and please take a moment to say "Hello"to those lovely wanna be pimples above my brow. My skin is recovering from all of the heavy Halloween makeup I was using.

I applied the brow color I brushed them out and applied a clear brow gel.

I primed my eyes and grabbed my ole trusty Chocolate Bar Palette. I applied Salted Caramel in my crease.

White Chocolate as a browbone highlight.

Now for the star of the show, this GORGEOUS shadow! If you haven't looked into these, you must! Especially this one, if you like this color.

To darken the outer corner, I applied a bit of Triple Fudge.

I highlighted the inner corner with Champagne Truffle.

Smudged Haute Chocolate (I love that name) under the lower lashline.

Applied my mascara and liners.

I've been eyeing this baby since they came out and I finally took the plunge. I LOVE this blush. It is perfect for this time of year.

Highlighted the tops of my cheeks with Mary Lou

Lined my lips and topped them with this awesome Essence lipstick.

And we are done!!!
Here is a picture of the finished look. I usually don't take car selfies but I was on my way to church (mom was driving) and I snapped a pic to show you the makeup in natural light. How perfect is that lip color?? I love it!

I hope you enjoyed this look. Let me know if you have tried any of the NYX Prismatic Shadows. I plan on picking up more but am curious to see what shades you love.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
