What's In My Travel Makeup Bag

Hello everyone!
Thank you for stopping by today. Some of you may know that I recently went on a trip for a family reunion. Packing is something that I always put a lot of thought into.
Especially when it comes to makeup!

Today I will share both of my makeup bags with you. Why two bags?
I carry one on with me and I put the other one with the bag I check. The reason why I do this is because I usually fly out early in the morning and I do not feel like getting up that much earlier to put makeup on. So I pack this little bag, throw it in my carry on and apply my makeup on the plane.

Here is a peek inside my carry on bag.
You will notice that this bag is smaller than the one I pack in my suitcase. I carry this one with me not only so I can get ready on the plane but also just in case my luggage were to get lost. At least this way I will have enough makeup to get me through a day or two.

I carry the basics in here. You might notice that I do not have an eye liner in here because
I didn't plan on using that while I was on the plane.
This might look like a TON of brushes to you, but really I only brought what I needed:
Blush Brush
Powder Foundation Brush
Concealer Brush (To clean up around my eye brows)
3 shadow brushes
2 eye brow brushes. I use the angled one to apply the brow color and the other one to brush them out. Weird I know, but that's what I do.
The rest of the makeup is self explanatory. Oh, and I wet my Real Techniques sponge in the restroom before I boarded the plane and wrapped it in paper towels till I was ready to use it. I ended up taking a little nap on the plane and then painted my barn. haha! and I used all of these products!

On to bag #2 (The packed bag)
You know that one little bag wasn't going to carry all of the makeup I wanted for my trip! So of course, I had to pack another bag that I put in the luggage I checked.

I packed all of my hair clips and bobby pins in here, along with a nail file and some other tools I needed. I also packed a few more brushes. MAC's Fix+ because it is the perfect size for travel and I love that stuff! I threw in a few random shadows, tons of lipsticks (that were pretty much the same shade but they are just enough different to justify bringing them all. wink wink), some more blushes, and a highlighter. If you have any questions about any of these, let me know. I didn't want to go through every single product in here to save you guys.
When you are traveling it is best to pack the makeup you know you like. Nothing is worse than traveling only to find that the new makeup you brought is poo. Trust me, I know from experience!
What products to do you take with you when you are on vacation?

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
