Makeup on Vanity

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you!

First I would like to thank all of you for being so patient with me last week when I was sick. I am finally feeling better and am back in action!
Today I will take you on a tour of my new vanity set up and show you what makeup I keep in here. These are the products that I reach for the most. Some of them will get switched out as seasons change but right now I have a good mix of things that I use a lot.

Let's take a closer look at my set up and the goodies I have inside!

Here is an over view of the area I will be showing you today. Right now I have this set up on my bathroom counter, which is where I get ready. Once the beauty room is complete I will move this into there. With the holidays and me being sick, the beauty room has been put on hold. Now that I am back in action, I will get back to work on it.
All of these acrylic organizers are from TJ Maxx. They were all very affordable and are great quality!

One bit of advice I have for setting up your vanity is to lay out all of the makeup you want to keep in it and play around with putting different things in drawers till you have it the way you want it. I wanted mine functional and keeping some what similar products together. Some things didn't fit the way I wanted at first so I rearranged them till I got them just the way I wanted them.

These two palettes have made their home on top of my first stack of drawers, as you can see from the photo above. I have been thinking about ditching the Revealed palette because I haven't been using it as often as I was when I first put this together.
I don't even have to explain why the Chocolate Bar is here. I use that thing all of the time!

These are two 2-drawer organizers staked on top of each other. I need to get some kind of double sided tape to secure them because they slide around when I open and close the drawers.

In the top drawer I keep my foundation, setting powders, some blushes, and sharpeners.

The second drawer houses more blushes, my trusty NYX Banana Powder, and Mary LouManizer.

The third drawer has NYX Roll on Shimmers, some single eye shadows I reach for a lot, L'Oreal Cuppa Joe quad, and my lash glue.

The bottom drawer is where I keep Q-Tips, mascaras, and eye liners.

On to the next section!
I debated on getting this lipstick holder while I was in the store. I have a ton of lipstick that I wasn't using most days. I think part of the reason why I wasn't wearing it is because I kept it in a makeup bag and the last thing I want to do at 5:30am is go searching through a bag to find the shade I want. Since I have had them on display like this, I have started using them more!
I also keep some chapsticks and my eye drops on here because I usually will use both of them before I apply my makeup.

I keep these 4 little palettes tucked in nicely next to my lipstick organizer. How many matte palettes does a girl need? Clearly more than one. haha!

One of the top drawers is where I keep my concealers, gel liners, and brow pomade.

The drawer next door is where I keep my eye shadow primers and some squeeze tube type face primers.

The first large drawer keeps more blushes, my beloved Sugar Lip Treatments, and brow kits, along with brow gel, and a new concealer I am testing out.

The bottom drawer is really heavy because of all of these glass jars. I keep all of my Color Tattoos in here and other creams/pigments. I also keep these two highlighters in here because their packaging is ginormous and I couldn't fit them anywhere else.

The end of our line up containers a mixture of containers holding odds and ends. I took 2 glasses from my kitchen that I wasn't using and used one for my tools. One for my lip gloss and liners. The little pink pail with the skull on it hold my brushes I am currently using. I found it at the Target $1 section a year or two ago around Halloween. Then I have this tiny little glass bowl I use to hold my makeup sponges. I found him at Walmart. In the midst of all of these containers I have two elf primers because they wont fit anywhere else.

That is the end of my vanity tour, folks! What did you think?
I hope you enjoyed it! If you have a vanity set up that you'd like to share with us, please post a picture in the FB Group or tag me on IG (ADELAWITHONEL). I'd love to see!

I hope your week is off to a good start. I will see you back on Wednesday.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
