Hey there!

Can you believe that the end of 2015 is here already?? Holy smokes! This year flew by so fast!
As you can see from the title, it is time for Monthly Favorites Again!!!! Yay!
I love these posts because I like to talk about products I love. Like always, I will tell you a bit about each product and link to it below (or something similar if I can't find it)

Drum Roll Please.....

Intorducing The December Favorites Team!

Favorite Candle: Meet my new friend, Glade Peace & Cherish.
I stumbled across this little fella while in the grocery store with my Mom. I could not believe how wonderful and Christmas-y it smelled. Then I saw that it was on sale so of course I snatched this and another one up! I was so surprised by how strong this smells when it is lit. I was pleasantly surprised and now I will have to give these a whiff when new ones come out. Way to go Glade!

Favorite Drink: Tazo Chai
I have been a long time fan of Chai, thanks to my beautiful friend, Jamie (Hi!!) that worked at numerous coffee shops and makes the most delicious Chai EVER! I found a box of this at Ross and decided to give it a whirl. Much to my surprise it isn't a super strong Chai. It is more mellow but tastes delicious none the less. AND I love that I can make this in my Keurig. If you're a tea drinker and like Chai-like teas, I highly suggest this!

Favorite Perfume: VS Bombshell Pink Diamonds
We have Mr. Adela Told Me to thank for this one! He surprised me with this perfume last year around this time. It smells amazing! I am horrible at describing scents so I will spare you of that. I will say that it is clean, feminine, and sexy in one fragrance. Love! Sadly it was limited edition and is no longer available in store. I did however find a link to it on Amazon, so I will link that one below.

BEAUTY RELATED GOODNESS!

Face Scrub: Burts Bees Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub
You did it again, Burt! I was in the market for a new face scrub. My skin texture was getting out of control and I was not happy with the way my skin was looking at all. Blame it on age, weather, your Aunt Sue. Whomever was the culprit was causing me problems that needed to be addressed. Another wonderful friend of mine (Hi Nydia!!) and I were in Ulta and she pointed this out to me. I admit I was afraid to try it at first because I remember practically ripping my face off years ago with that God awful apricot scrub. I gave it a whirl and I love it! It is super scrubby and you have to make sure to be gentle with it. After a few weeks of using this baby, my skin texture has drastically improved! I use this about 3 times a week. And those bargain hunters can appreciate the price tag...it's only $8! Love!!!

Favorite Body Scrub: Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub
Move over Tree Hut, there's a new girl in town! If you like the smell of maple then you will looooove this! This is hands down the best body scrub I have every used! It makes my skin so soft without feeling dry after use and it smells like a hot maple bar. What's not to love? I am already half way through my first tub and I already ordered another. Can't get enough of this scrub-tastic goodness!

Favorite Body Butter: Body Shop in Brazil Nut
I used to use this years ago. I am not stuck to one scent because they are all wonderful. I came across this in Marshalls while on Vacation and decided to try it again and boy am I glad I did! I forgot how awesome these are! I slather this all over myself after I shower at night and my skin is so soft and moisturized! I am for sure going to check out The Body Shops sale they have going on right now and see if I might get another one, or two. Great stuff!

Favorite Primer: Elf Hydrating
I showed this in my last elf haul. My skin tends to get dry during the winter so I decided to give this a try. I really like it but my skin can get oily if I'm not careful. I apply the most product to the areas of my face that need the extra moisture and then lightly go over the areas that don't need help (like the T-Zone). One thing I really like about this is that it doesn't make me look like an oil slick throughout the day. All I need is a a blot of two from my handy dandy blotting papers and I'm good! and for $6 you can't beat it.

Favorite Blush: Milani Romantic Rose
I have been hooked on this blush since I purchased it! The color is perfect for this time of year, well any time really. It's a perfect mauve color. I wear this most days when I only want a hint of color on my cheeks. It is buildable and it stays true to color all day.

Well, folks! This is all I have for you this month. There are a few other products I have been enjoying but I haven't used them long enough to make the favorites list. Hopefully next month you will see those gems. I hope you enjoyed this post. Please let me know what products you have been loving this month.

Until next time...

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
