Faithful Friday: How Great

Hello My Faithful Friday Friends!

I hope you've all had a good week. I am ready for the weekend!
Today we will be talking about how great our God is. How many songs is that phrase in? I bet you can name a few. The other day I was driving into work listening to K-LOVE and 'How Great Is Our God" came on. I'm sure you all know that song. You're probably singing it right now, aren't you? haha! I am!

Anyway, I started thinking about that... How great is our God? How great is it that He is OURS? How great is is that He loves us? I have been a Christian since I was 15(ish). I have really devoted my life to Him since I was 25. Which was about 7 years ago. I still, after all of these years is in awe of how great He is. I decided to share this today because I realize that some of you might be further into your walk with Him than I am and I'm sure you've felt the same. Maybe you are very new in your relationship with Him and haven't made it to this point yet. Regardless of where we are in our walk. Sometimes we can get busy, life can take it toll on us, or we can loose sight of how great He is. Or maybe you are like me, driving in your car, and happy as a little clam singing your heart out (P.S. you shouldn't be driving and reading my blog. Naughty!) I think it is important for Christian's to take the time to reflect on how great He is and how blessed we are to serve a God that is so awesome and powerful. Aren't you thankful for how great He is?

I know this post is short but I wanted to share this thought with you all. I hope you enjoyed this bit of Christian randomness and have a good weekend.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
