Hello All!
These are the way the nails looked the first time I filed them down. I have since filed them again after wearing these like this for a few days. I loved them this long but I noticed it was really hard to do things so they needed to be filed again. I will post pictures of my nails how they currently are later on.
6) File, file, and file those babies down! This took the longest for me. Just be patient and keep filing till they are the shape you want them. And don't worry! If you don't like the shape the first time, you can still file them down after they're painted...like I did!
7) Apply Base coat, 2 coats of polish, and top coat.
And you're done!
Here is what my nails look like after the 2nd filing and shaping. I am really happy with them and they have held up nicely. I applied these Thursday night and this picture was taken this morning (Monday).
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I went to The Sweet Life Conference and it was awesome! I will talk more about it later. Actually I am thinking about making a video on it so make sure to join The Adela Told Me Blog Group on Facebook so you don't miss it!
Today I am going to share a little secret of mine...Press On Nails!

Yes, girlfriend. These are press ons!
No acrylic, no salon, no "you want flower?" Just me, my pj's, and some nail glue!
You may have noticed that press on nails have stepped their game up over the past few years. I have been a long time fan of press on nails. Like so long that I remember my mom letting me wear the little girl ones with the sticker backing on them. See, told ya! I have had acrylics over the years and I always get bored with them. Not to mention that they are expensive! And you all know I am way to cheap to pay for that every two weeks. I usually wear my natural nails but sometimes I want long, talon, ghetto fabulous, rachet (inside joke between a friend and I) nails.
We all can agree that those white tip nails I had on were not doing it for me so I decided to try this. And I love them!!!
So I decided to share these with you.
This isn't going to be a tutorial because I didn't think to do it when I put these on. I will walk you through the steps though.
I used these nails...
I got these for under $10 at CVS. If I am going to continue doing these (which I am sure that I will) I am going to order some tips off Amazon because I wont be able to use all of these sizes.

I also used:
a good, rough nail file I had a 100/80 Grit File from Sally's
Base Coat
Nail Polish (Mauvey Night from Poparazzi)
Top Coat
Nail Clippers
Nail Clippers
Here's how I did it...
1) Select nail sizes that cover your entire nail. I always have to go a little bit larger than my nail so it will cover my entire nail. Once you have all 10 nails selected go to step #2.
2) File down the edges of the nails to fit your nail bed. You really want to take the time to do this and make sure that they fit really nicely. Otherwise they will be uncomfortable and push the skin around your nail down,
3) Glue on the nails. I apply a dot of glue to my natural nail and to the fake nail. Start with your pinky finger and work your way to your thumb. Be sure to press down firmly for about 20 seconds.
4) Wipe off any excess glue that came out from pressing them on.
5) Trim a good amount of the length off with nail clippers.
