Too Face Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette- Swatch Fest & First Impressions

Hello again!

Today we are talking about something I am so excited about! The Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette!  As soon as I saw this palette I knew I wanted it. For one thing, I LOVE PB&J! and another, I LOVE Too Faced! I have a few palettes of theirs now and I love them all. When I saw the shadows in this palette they were better than I expected. It is full of beautiful warm shadows and fun pop of purple.

The palette comes in this precious little box! Too Faced has great packaging and if you're a sucker for cute packaging (like I clearly am) then this box will definitely catch your eye.

I'm one of those weird people that reads the entire label on products so I included the back of the box for those of you like me.

As for the actual palette... It's cute as ever!!! Hello, Mrs. PB&J Face!!
It is a very compact palette, which is true to Too Faced. I really appreciate that they choose metal for their palettes (at least all of the ones I own are metal) and they don't bulk them up at all. The metal makes them very travel friendly. I have heard that some people think this smells like peanuts but I have to say, I don't really smell peanuts at all. It smells very similar to their chocolate line to me only not as sweet.

And the back...
The little bread slice lady is saying no actual peanuts were used in this palette.
Now for the shadows... They're gorgeous!!! I love the colors they chose for this. I know I will be able to come up with so many looks from this. I was really happy to see that the pop of color they chose for this is a shade that actually works and is wearable. I find that purple is a very versatile shade and pretty much everyone can wear it. So I think it is a nice addition to the palette and a good way to break up the warm tones. And how cute are the names they picked?!

On to the swatches!
All of the shadows swatched like a dream. None of them were chalky or powdery. None of them were patchy. I was really impressed. I didn't expect much from the "Jelly" shade, to be honest. It did take some building up but the color is great!

You can't really tell from the photo but a lot of these shades have beautiful shimmer, metallic, almost glitter to them. I love them!!!

Needless to say, I am in love with this palette and I cannot wait to dive in and start playing with it. So be on the look out for upcoming tutorials using this beauty. I hope that you all enjoyed this post.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
