Spring Clothing Haul

Hello again,

Thank you all for joining me today. This post is going to be a bit different than the rest...I've decided to post a video showing you all of the items I am talking about today, rather than posting pictures of them. You can find the video in the Adela Told Me Blog Group on Facebook. I will link to the group below so you can join us, if you're not already.

If you did watch the video then you are probably here to find links to the websites I mentioned.

Maxi and Midi Skirts-
Those were all purchased from Rue 21 (online) I will link to the website below:
http://www.rue21.com/store/girls/skirts/_/N-95r

For size reference, all of mine in a size Large and I am a size 10 in dresses. I have purchased shirts from them as well, those too are size Large or even XL if I want them a bit loose. I didn't include the shirts in this haul because I purchased them when I was on vacation and have already worn them all.
One thing to keep in mind when shopping with them is that a lot of their skirts and dresses (like almost all of them) are only partially lined. So be sure to read the full product description before purchasing.

Tanks and White Jeans-
Purchased at my local Ross. They had a ton of really cute clothes this time I went. If I had more time I would have gone through more aisles but those of you Ross shoppers know, it is like hunting for treasure in that store and I didn't have the time or patience that day to dig! Plus there was a screaming kid that seemed to be following us around the store and that wasn't helping (eye roll haha!)
They also had a lot of really cute sandals, like I said above I didn't have the time or patience to look at them.

Floral Vintage Dress-
I purchased mine through Amazon. The seller is Maggie Tang. She has so many gorgeous dresses and I do intend on purchasing more soon! They are such well made dresses for the price. I ordered mine in a size Large. If you are going to order, be sure to read the product reviews because it seems like each dress fits a bit differently. Also, there is a size chart made for that particular item included in the photos of the dress, so make sure you go off that one!
If you are in the market for something similar, I found these by searching "Kentucky Derby Dresses" on Amazon and a TON of these are so cute!

Petticoat-
I decided to go with the black on on this because I had a feeling that I would really like these dresses and would be ordering more. Most of the other ones I like will go with black so I decided that would be the best color option for me. Mine is in the size Small/Medium. I tried it on with my dress last night and if I wear it slightly below my waist then it is the perfect length to barely peek out from the bottom of the dress. I love the way it looks!

That wraps up this post. I hope you enjoyed this post with a different spin to it! If you guys have picked up any cute new clothes be sure to let us know where you got them from. I have the hardest time finding cute clothes!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
