Mini Ulta Haul

Hello!

Thank you for joining me today. I went to Ulta the other day and I thought it would be fun to share my bounty. I didn't go nuts like I usually do because I went with a list this time and didn't get anything that wasn't on the list. Wait, Yes, I did! I ended up snagging a mascara set in the check out. I am beginning to think that the reason why Ulta takes so long to check you out is so you have time to look at all of the neat little treasures they have in the check out area. So as I said above, I needed specific things but I will explain and link to each purchase below.

On to the haul!

The first thing I needed was a Real Techniques Sponge.

I own several of these already but I do use them daily so when they get old, stained, and start showing signs of wear. I will put them aside for Halloween tutorials. If you are new to Adela Told Me... then you might have missed the Halloween tutorials last year. I do several leading up to Halloween and trust me, you don't want to miss them. I have so much fun creating these wild looks for you. Anyway, I needed a new sponge because mine are all really old and are ready to move on to the Halloween Graveyard (haha!)

I was totally out of my Batiste Dry Shampoo!

I don't know how I managed to get so low on these. I usually purchase two at a time (when they are buy one get one 50% off) and obviously, I used them both because one day, one of them was empty and the next day, the other one was empty too! I usually switch up my scents and this time I picked two that I never thought I would pick. I got the Tropical one which smells like coconut but in a fresh kind of way. I got the cherry one too. That one has a sweeter scent to it but then again, it has the perfect amount of freshness to it. I haven't used either of them yet, so I will let you know if the scent is too over powering when it's actually on your head.

I was fresh out of Simple wipes too!

I usually will purchase these at Walmart but since my Walmart decided that it's necessary to stick ONE SINGLE check out in the beauty section which causes a HUGE line (can you tell I'm annoyed by this? haha) I boycott that area unless I need something really bad! This two pack was on sale for less than the single was so I snagged it up. These are my favorite makeup wipes. They don't burn my eyes or dry my face out.

Now here comes the check out item.

haha! I recently ordered this for my friends birthday. I have seen a lot of good reviews on these mascaras. I figured, if I was going to send them to her then I might as well try them for myself so we can compare notes (see my justifying??) Again, I haven't used these but I plan on doing a first impressions in a few weeks so stay tuned for that.

See I told you I didn't get very much this time! One thing I have to mention is that I made a B-Line to the perfume section so I could coat myself in Giorgio Armani Si. I got a sample of this in something I ordered and I used it for the first time on Sunday and I am hooked! Why do perfumes do this to me?? I have been so good at only buying the rollerball of the ones that I really like and now this. Grr!! That being said, I am seriously thinking about signing up for Scentbird. Either that or I will keep asking for samples of it at Sephora. Don't act like I'm the only one that's done that! haha!

Ok guys, I am wrapping this up here. I hope you enjoyed this short and sweet haul.
Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
