Fall Makeup Look

Hello again,

It has been quite some time since I posted a makeup look. Oh how I've missed it! Today I will be sharing a look that is perfect for Fall. It features warm browns and a gorgeous shimmery lid. These colors really make your eyes pop. I am focusing on eyes, cheeks, and lips today.
Before I started I applied my "Base Makeup" Foundation (Balance-n-Brighten  by Laura Geller), Concealer (Maybelline Age Rewind), brows (Oh, about 5 Milani Products), contour (matte bronzer), and primed my lids (Milani eye primer).

These are the shadows we will be using today…

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 and L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush. This combination really works well together.

These are the brushes we will be using today…

To start the look take the shade Cover on a big fluffy brush. Apply this color to your crease using a windshield wiper motion. Blending up towards the brow bone.

Then take Primal on a soft dome brush and darken the crease.

To darken the outer corner, take Undone on the soft dome brush and blend the shadows together.

Now for the pop! Using your index finger (I found using your finger gives the most concentration of color) Apply Amber Rush to your eyelid and blend out to the outer corner.

Take Skimp on a small brush and apply it to your inner corner and underneath your brow bone.

Onto the liner!
Line your lower lashline with some Amber Rush near the year duct, followed by Primal in the center, with Undone in the outer corner. Be sure to blend them together! Line the upper lashline with a brown liquid liner. I used Palladio Liquid Eye Liner in Black/Brown. It has a very thin felt tip which is awesome for both thin and thick liner. It lasts a long time. Love it!

To finish the eye look I curled my lashes applied a few coats of mascara.

Cheeky poo's are next…
I applied Hot Mama to my cheeks. This blush is beautiful. It gives your skin the healthiest golden-peach glow.

I filled in my lips with Jordana Tawny lip liner and topped with Maybelline Strike A Rose

To set my makeup I used the Dewey setting spray by NYX.

And we're done!

I'm really happy with the way this look came together and I hope you enjoyed it. If you try this look please send me pictures!

Until next time…
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
