Win It or Bin It? Physicians Formula Super BB Cream

Welcome back,

My hunt continues for the "perfect" CC or BB Cream. You may remember my last "Win It or Bin It" on the P.F. Super CC Cream. I'll link it below in case you missed it.

Don't get me wrong, I am still using the CC Cream and am fairly happy with it. I came across this trial sized tube of the P.F. Super BB Cream and decided to give it a whirl.

A little rant about Physicians Formula...
I've complained about P.F's pricing and products before. I think they are WAY over priced for drugstore. I mean, in most cases you can spend a little bit more and get a high end product that will actually work! Keep in mind that I am a bargain hunter when it comes to well...anything really. haha! I want to feel like the items I purchase are WORTH the money I am spending on them. I find myself cringing when I see the P.F. display. Especially, when most of the products I've tried from them are junk and I end up returning them.

What's the coverage like?
I find the coverage to be the tiniest bit lighter than the CC Cream. If you like a light-natural finish this will be great for you. Your skin will look like you're not wearing any makeup, if you wear this alone (meaning no powder). It evens out the redness in my skin. However, I still find the need to go in with concealer around my nose. If I'm hanging around the house I wont top it with a powder. If I am going out...say to work, running errands, or anywhere that I'd like more coverage, I will top it with a light dusting of Laura Geller Balance n' Brighten.

How does it wear throughout the day?
I am not one to touch up my makeup throughout the day AT ALL. I will use an oil blotting sheet but that's the extent of my up keep. I put my makeup on around 5 am and remove it in the evening. So needless to say, I am a pretty good judge of what lasts and what doesn't. All in all, I am pretty happy with the way this holds up.

Would I purchase the full size?
I'm not 100% sure that I would. I will keep trying new things until to find a BB or CC Cream that I do not find the need to use concealer around my nose.

So, is it a Winner or a Binner?
I'd say a winner. It's good stuff, it performs as the package claims. If you're hunting for a CC or BB Cream I say pick up the trial size and see what you think. For a few bucks, it's worth it.

What CC or BB Creams have you tried? If you've tried these, what did you think?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
