Hi guys!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by today. I was playing with makeup the other day and had a simple day date look in mind. This is the look I came up with and as you can clearly see...this is not a simple day date look. Haha! I got a little carried away but loved the way this came out so I went with it and decided to share it. So, day date look, you'll be posted another time!
Here is a picture of the finished look...
So grab your purple shadows and let's get to it!
Don't forget to prime your lids, girls. So far I have really been enjoying this super affordable WNW primer.
This is the shadow star of the show. I'm telling you, if you want a larger palette then you've got to check out Morphe. They are very nice shadows!
*Keep in mind that the shadows don't have names so feel free to use the pic picture up above for a reference of what shadow I am using. I will try my best to describe the color as I go.
I wanted to lay down a transition color first so I applied this rose/mauve matte shadow from my crease and blended up towards my brow. I used a fluffy brush for this.
I forgot to apply tape before I applied to last shadow so I did that, then I took this deeper rose satin shadow and applied this to the crease and outer corner to start building some depth to this look. I used a smaller pointed brush for this.
Using the same brush I took a medium tone satin purple shadow and applied it to the outer corner.
Again on the same brush I applied this gorgeous cranberry satin shadow in the outer corner.
Now because this shadow is really dark I switched to a smaller rounded brush and applied this dark plum matte shadow to the very outer corner.
Annnnd we blend!
Now I remove the tape and was left with this crazy line. Don't be scared! We will blur that line in a second.
Using a liner brush with nothing on it then went over the area again with my RT sponge.
Then to blur the line even more, I applied this skin toned shadow and went around the edge of my line. See how smooth it is now? I told ya not to be scared!
I took this shimmery light pink shadow and applied it with my finger to the inner 3rd of my lid.
I used the flat liner brush we used earlier to blur our line to apply some black shadow as close as possible to the upper lashline. I also created this beautiful wing. I loved the way this liner turned out! It's very soft and pretty.
Using all 3 of these shadows- start with the darkest and layer the lighter ones on top to smoke out the lower lashline.
I applied black gel liner to the upper and lower waterline. And of course applied plenty of mascara!
Ps the gel liner didn't hold up well. It ran and faded within hours. I suggest using a long lasting or water proof pencil for this. I didn't have one so I used the gel.
Blushy blush!
Don't forget to smile awkwardly as you apply your blush. Haha!
If unicorn magic was captured in a highlighter, this would be it! I forgot how much I love this highlighter!
Love!!!
And we are done!!!
Ps I lined and filled in my lips with Rimmel Eastend Snob and went over the top with Essence lipstick in Natural Beauty.
Here are some pictures of the finished look...
I'm telling you this highlight was the love of my life!!
I hope you enjoyed this look. I had so much fun playing with this palette and putting this look together.
Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela
