Monthly Favorites: March

Hello again!
Thank you for joining me today. Let's talk about some of my favorites for the month of March. I feel like I have more this month than I did last month...probably not but they are really good things that I can't stop loving. I will tell you a bit about each product and link to it or something similar at the end of each post.

Here we go!

Candle: Island Colada from Bath & Body Works
Of course this candle wouldn't be available anymore. I almost feel bad for sharing it because of that. I stock up when BBW has their awesome $9 candle sale. I buy a ton of candles during that sale in a variety of scents to last me throughout the year. When I was in the process of setting up my beauty room, I came across a bunch of half melted candles and this was one of them. It has a really nice, sweet coconut scent. It's not too over powering, but it's enough to fill the entire room with it's beautiful fragrance. I linked to the Coconut Vanilla one that they have available right now because it's description sounds very similar to what this candle smells like.

Coffee: Starbucks Cafe Verona K-Cup
I love a dark roast coffee! The stronger, the better! I realize that this taste isn't for everyone but I love it! I always make a  cup of this on mornings when I am going to work because it gives me a really good caffiene kick in the morning.

Drink: Arizona Green Tea Box
Sometimes in the afternoons I need a little pick me up. (As if the coffee wasn't enough caffiene) I love green tea. These little boxes are perfect to take to work. I usually have one of these in the fridge at work. I like this size because it isn't the huge can of green tea like they normally come. It's the perfect amount of sweetness too. They're really good!

Perfume: Burberry Brit Sheer
We have Mr. Adela Told Me to thank for this one. He surprised me with this perfume shortly after we started dating and I have loved it ever since. Any time I wear this I always get asked what I am wearing. It's not an over powering fragrance, yet it's enough to get noticed. It's a very fresh and feminine scent and whenever I smell it I am reminded of those early days when I felt butterflies when I would see him. (awww!, isn't that cute? haha) Who am I kidding?? I still feel that way when I see him.

Eyeshadow Palette: elf Prism Palette in Naked
I am pretty sure this has been a favorite before. (and I am too lazy to look back to see haha!)
This palette is seriously one of my favorite palettes I own. I love placing these shadows on the lid for a beautiful shimmery look. It really brightens up the eye. I know that elf has two more color options in this palette so I want to look into getting those soon. They're very silky and pack a lot of punch when applied with a finger tip. Love these shadows!

Mascara: Maybelliene Lash Sensational
I swear I can hear my lashes sing a little song when I use this mascara. Seriously the best mascara I have ever used. I have blasted through so many tubes of this stuff. It's always good, it makes my lashes look AMAZING. It doesn't flake, it's really black, and it's just good stuff. I stock up on these when they're on sale. Love it!

Blush: Laura Geller Blush n Brighten in Pink Grapefruit
I can't even tell you how much I love this blush! In fact, I almost drained my bank account when I found the link for this blush. They are SO BEAUTIFUL! This blush gives the prettiest flush to the cheek. I want more of these for sure! Not to mention that they are so pigmented that they last forever. I have used this thing a ton and you can't even tell from looking at it.

Lip Treatment: Milani Moisture Lock Lip Treatment Oil
Obsessed! Instantly obsessed with these! I snagged two when they were on sale at CVS and since have purchased two more. I always have one of these with me. They last a long time and give my lips a much needed dose of moisture. So far I have the coconut, rose, raspberry, and peach one. I love these things!

Eye Liner: Wet n Wild Felt Tip Liner
This thing is awesome!!! The tip on it is so nice and soft and I am able to create a great wing with it. It's small enough to fit into my hand and so far it hasn't dried out at all. I haven't used my Jordana Fabuliner since I started using this and that was my go to black liner.

Until next time...

Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
