Ready for Fall Makeup

Hello again!
Thank you for joining me today. If you read my last post you know I am more than ready for Fall! I've had my fill of hot and humid weather! I love the colors of Fall and those colors used in makeup looks are my favorite! You may notice from the photo…or maybe you didn't…go ahead, study the photo (crickets chirping) Notice anything different??? I dyed my hair! It doesn't show in the photo but I went for a dark red violet color. As soon as I saw myself with this new darker color, I couldn't wait to do this makeup look for you. Enough with the blabbing.

Here is a picture of the finished look. The eyes are a mix of warm browns and bronze shadows, a black winged liner, and a smokey lower lash line. Cheeks are a warm nude. Lips are a cool nude, which is the perfect way to transition into Fall colors. If you want to see how I created this look then keep on scrolling!

I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. If you like warm tones, I highly recommend this one. I have gotten a lot of use out of it since I got it.

I took Salted Caramel on a fluffy brush and blended it into the crease and slightly brought it up towards my brow bone. I added a good amount of this shadow because I wanted the warmth of this shade to show up.

Using Semi-Sweet on a smaller round brush I darkened the outer corner and crease. Don't forget to take your time and blend your shadows. The key to this look is a flawless blend.

Using an even smaller round brush I took Triple Fudge and applied this to the outer corner.
Don't forget to blend, again!

Now for the star of the show, NYX Prismatic Shadow in Bedroom Eyes. This shadow is BEAUTIFUL!!! I applied this with my finger tip because I wanted to get the most pigmentation I could get.

I highlighted my brow bone with this matte white shadow from NYX.

I lined my eyes with Jordana Fabuliner. I tried to take pictures of this but it was too hard for me. Here's a little behind the scenes for you…I take my own photos with my iPhone. So every single photo you see in my posts are taken by me. So, yes, I sit and pause between each step and take pictures for you. See how much I love you guys! haha ;) I lined my eyes and winged it out.

Curled my lashes and applied mascara to my upper lashes.

Now you can apply mascara to your lower lashes and leave your eye look like this. But I wanted some smokey-ness to my lower lash line so I kept going.

Using a flat shadow brush I applied Triple Fudge to the lower lash line. Take your time with this step and really blend it out. You don't want it to look like a line of shadow, you want it to be smokey and smudgy!

Using the same flat shadow brush I smudged out the lower lash line even further with Semi-Sweet.

I went back and forth on what to use for the inner corner highlight. Do I go matte white or shimmer? Shimmer! This is another gorgeous NYX Prismatic Shadow in Girl Talk. Seriously, these prismatic shadows are awesome. I am definitely going to see what other colors they have in this line because I love them!

I forgot to include a picture of my applying mascara to my lower lashes but I used Maybelliene Lash Discovery.

For blush I used this new blush from Makeup Revolution, This is a new brand to Ulta and so far I am very impressed with this line. I have this in the shade Nude. It is the perfect color for Fall!

Here is another product from them. This highlighter is AWESOME!!! If you want a closer look at this product, let me know! I am thinking about doing a highlighter post soon. What do you think??

99.9% of the time I will line and fill in my lips with a liner before I apply lipstick. This came in a BoxyCharm so I have no idea what color it is. This is really the only writing on the pencil.

I applied this lipstick from Essence. These lipsticks are really nice and very affordable. They're only $2- $3! (Also sold at Ulta)

I sprayed my face with NYX Dewy Setting Spray and was DONE!!

Here are some more pictures of the finished look...

I love this look and will definitely be wearing it a lot this Fall. I can't wait to pair this with a deep berry lip. Oh, how pretty would that be???
P.s. Please appreciate that wing!

And one more before I headed out the door. If you have green or hazel eyes, this eye look is going to make those eyes POP!

I hope you enjoyed this post, girls! It was so much fun creating this look and playing with some new products. Please let me know if you try this. If you do, I'd love to see pictures!

Until next time…
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
